Mousing Around

My friend Gary used to say he was just "mousing around." To him that meant he was looking into every crack and crevice, over, under and around things just to see what he could turn up that might be of interest to him. I "mouse around" a lot when I've got an instrument in my hand. It is fun to explore different sounds and techniques to see what might expand the scope of my musical abilities. Many times these new sounds find their way into an old song or a new inspiration. This collection of "mousings" is part entertainment and part attempt to save some of the more interesting ideas for use later.

I don't know a quarter note from a nickel. I'm missing a couple of fingers on my left hand, and my instruments have only three strings. My timing is pretty much my own as is the style and the sounds I get. I hope you find this instrumental music interesting and comfortable to your ear.
